Loaded Software

Here at CPR, we don't believe in loading loads of software onto a new laptop (AKA Bloatware). Only the operating system and brand-related apps are downloaded. The Office 365 app can be installed directly from the Microsoft store or website.

Battery Condition

Battery life can vary significantly depending on usage. Laptops will always use more power when a DVD is playing or a game than just surfing the internet or answering emails. To this end, predicting an accurate life expectancy is difficult. However, to help, we test and grade batteries for laptops by real-life scenarios in that once fully refurbished, all laptops are specification checked (which involves running software on the machine for about 20 minutes). Browsing history and testing files removed using other software. At this point, the battery percentage is checked and noted above our opinion of the battery. On top of this, we use software (batteryinfoview) to verify this information and gain the percentage of health. Hopefully, this will give you a guide to the condition. The first 30 days are parts and labour service, with the remaining time being labour only. This service is a back-to-base, with the cost of returning an item being the customer's responsibility. Once a machine has been refurbished, it goes through extensive testing to ensure no hidden problems are there.
